Martin Chiware is an accomplished actuarial professional with expertise in financial analysis, insurance regulations, and investment strategies across Africa. With a Bachelor of Business Science from Monash University and an ongoing MSc in Investment and Financial Econometrics, he combines strong academic credentials with practical experience.
As Actuarial Manager at Gralix Actuarial Consulting, Martin leads IFRS17 engagements, delivers training workshops, and ensures compliance with audit and regulatory standards. He also develops capital adequacy plans and oversees work plans for insurance clients. Previously, he held key roles such as Senior Actuarial Analyst at NextVantage, where he led IFRS17 implementation in several African countries and managed a $10 million capital raise project.
Martin's career includes diverse experience in risk management and pension consulting, showcasing his ability to deliver strategic solutions in complex financial environments.
Chief Operating Officer - Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia
A Chartered Insurer with over two decades of progressive leadership in the Zambian insurance industry, Ndayanja has built an outstanding career from her beginnings as a Graduate Trainee to her current role as Chief Operating Officer at Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia.
Throughout her career, she has successfully led key departments and functions, gaining extensive expertise in operational excellence and driving organizational growth within one of Zambia’s leading insurance companies.
Ndayanja holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Zambia, and an Associate of both the Zambia Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Customer Management. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors (Zambia).
Passionate about advancing the insurance industry, Ms. Ndayanja is committed to making a lasting contribution towards shaping the future of Zambia’s financial services sector.

With over four years as COO, Mr. Mphatso Tembo has successfully blended operational excellence with strategic digital transformation, maximizing process efficiency across the retail and corporate insurance value chains. Previously serving as Executive in charge of the Actuarial Department, he combines deep analytical expertise with hands-on leadership to deliver measurable results.
At Sanlam, he has championed innovations that streamline workflows and enhance customer experience, including the design and rollout of a digital mapping system that reduced manual processes by 40%, positioning the company as a leader in operational agility. At #GIC2024, he moderated a high-level discussion on operational and regulatory challenges in the insurance sector.
Beyond Sanlam, Mr. Tembo contributes his expertise as a Board Member at Zedfin Financial Solutions, Zambia’s fastest-growing digital microfinance provider, where he supports the development of inclusive, tech-enabled financial products.

Saulose Lemphane is a seasoned leader in the insurance industry with over 18 years of experience in global (re)insurance markets. As the Chief Operating Officer of Klapton Reinsurance Limited, he oversees operational excellence and growth initiatives across 80 countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
A recognised expert in operational strategy and risk management, Saulose has successfully navigated complex regulatory frameworks while driving profitability. His leadership spans all areas of reinsurance operations, including underwriting strategy, portfolio optimisation, and the integration of advanced data analytics and emerging technologies.
Before joining Klapton Re, Saulose was Regional Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at General Reinsurance Africa Ltd (Gen Re), where he implemented impactful re-underwriting initiatives. His tenure at Bryte Insurance (formerly Zurich South Africa) further established him as an innovator in risk solutions. With a strong analytical mindset, Saulose excels at converting complex challenges into strategic solutions, making him well-equipped to address the evolving demands of the modern insurance and business landscape.

Musonda is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA). He also holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester (UK).

Mizinga Melu is a seasoned financial services executive with international experience spanning over two decades in the banking industry. She has been at the helm of top banking organizations having worked in six African countries. Currently serving as Managing Director at Absa Bank Zambia PLC, she held the same substantive role at Standard Chartered Bank.
She has held board seats on a number of institutions including Non-Executive Director on the Zambia National Pension Scheme Authority, and served as Bankers Association of Zambia Chairperson and Co-Chair for the Financial Sector Working Group of the Public Private Dialogue Forum.
Mizinga is also a multi-award-winning business leader with accolades including the 2023 Africa Bank 4.0 Awards’ Best CEO of the Year (SADC Region) and Most Influential African Women Banker of the Year (Rest of Africa) at the Africa Bank Summit 4.0 Awards.
Mizinga is a celebrated Author, having penned two award-winning books: Braving the Odds and As You Rise Leadership Matters. She is also the Founder of a nonprofit organization ‘When Females Lead’ which focuses on women empowerment through mentorship and charity work.

Komba Malukutila is the CEO of MTN Mobile Money Zambia and one of the country’s youngest executives to lead a multinational corporation. With over 17 years of experience in Telecommunications and Fintech spanning both Commercial and Technology functions, he has built a strong reputation for driving innovation, advancing financial inclusion, and delivering sustained business growth.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master’s in Management Strategy from the University of Zambia, as well as a Telecoms MBA, equipping him with a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership.

Her work focuses on designing inclusive, context-specific agricultural insurance solutions that protect livelihoods, enhance resilience, and support food security aligning closely with this program’s theme of fostering equity in health and wealth.
With a background in Applied Economic Analysis and Actuarial Science, Niza brings deep expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.
