Background

Ms Christabel Michel is a Business Executive Chartered Insurer and Chartered Accountant, and a holder of a master’s degree in business administration.

She is the Board Chairperson of Zep Re (PTA Reinsurance) and also Chairperson of NAPSA Hospitality Investment (Zambia) Limited. She has served in various capacities in the private and public sector as an insurance, audit and finance professional. She served as Managing Director of ZSIC Life Plc; a state-owned life Insurance company and Chief Finance Officer of Diamond General Insurance (Zambia) Limited.

She spearheaded the set-up of the Insurer Association of Zambia Secretariat and served as its first Executive Director, and later as President of the Association. She is also the immediate past Chairperson of the National Road Fund (Zambia) Agency. She is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Business Administration.
